Belongs to a class of drugs known as respiratory stimulants, used primarily to treat and prevent respiratory disorders such as asthma attacks, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and allergic rhinitis (hay fever). 

Work Mechanism :
Acebrophylline (bronchodilator), cetirizine (antiallergic), and montelukast (leukotriene receptor antagonist). Acebrophylline has mucoregulating/mucolytic (dissolves thick mucus and helps relieve breathing difficulties) and anti-inflammatory properties.

Acebrophylline + Cetirizine + Montelukast contains cetirizine (anti-allergic), which is used to treat allergies as it blocks the effects of a chemical messenger known as ‘histamine,’ which is naturally involved in allergic reactions. Montelukast belongs to the class of leukotriene receptor antagonists. Leukotrienes are inflammatory chemicals that are released by the body when an allergen comes into contact. These chemicals cause swelling in the lungs and tightening of the airway muscles, which are the primary causes of asthma attacks. Montelukast blocks these leukotrienes, thereby reducing inflammation and swelling in the nose. It also inhibits bronchoconstriction (narrowing of airways in the lungs that lead to breathing difficulties) and is used in treating asthma and allergic rhinitis.
