- Respiratory Tract Infections
- SSTI’s
- UTI’s
- Bacteraemia & Septicemia
- Bone & Joint Infections
- Children – 6-7.5 mg/kg in equal divided doses every 8 hours
- Adults – 4-6 mg/kg once daily or in equal divided doses every 8 to 12 hours, to be given as IM, slow IV (over 3-5 minutes) or as 50-200 ml infusion over 0.5 to 2 hours for 7 to 14 days or as directed by Physician
Product Description :
This is an antibiotic used to prevent or treat a wide variety of bacterial infections. This may include infections of the urinary tract, bones and joints, lungs (e.g. pneumonia), blood, and some others.
Work Mechanism :
It stops bacterial growth by preventing synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions.
